Himitsu and Yuri find refuge through the square

They sat on the floor, panting heavily.
‘Damn it! I wish I saw that coming!’ Himitsu said, slamming her fist onto the floor. She had her head facing the ground.
She was really angry. She sat up and stared scornfully at the place they were at.
‘Where are we…?’ Yuri asked.
‘The nearest safe place for a Bounty Hunter when they meet an unbeatable fight.’
‘Erm… And where is that…?’
‘The Magical Realm.’
‘Ahh…’ Yuri said. ‘Then, what about the humans in the Human Realm? The zombies are still there! Won’t they… erm….’
‘If the humans are lucky, the zombies will have already left that realm, and back to their master. But if the zombies are… hungry… The humans don’t stand a chance.’ Himitsu said with a tinge of sadness in her voice.
‘Then we have to go back! Please!’ Yuri exclaimed, grabbing Himitsu’s sleeve. ‘Please! I don’t want anymore deaths! Please!’
Himitsu bit her lip. She felt tears gather at her eyes. She closed her eyes.
‘I’m sorry. As my mother once said: Never fight a battle when you don’t stand a chance.’ She refused to look into Yuri’s eyes.
Yuri stumbled onto the floor, shaking.
‘No… No… Himitsu! Please… Please! Go look for reinforcements! Please… You can’t just leave the humans be! They need you! They need you…’ Yuri whispered lastly.
He could easily picture what was happening. Pure chaos. He could almost hear the screams the humans were making. He could almost feel the warm blood, oozing down the streets, like a river flowing downstream. He could see those monsters chewing at the remains of the humans they had killed. Malicious laughter.
Chaos.
He closed his eyes and couldn’t help but weep. He hadn’t cried in awhile now (awhile meaning “3 years or so”). Himitsu was crying silently. For the humans, for her cowardly self, her worthlessness…and, surprisingly, for Yuri.
He had lost his parents. His family. And to think that his baby sister and maid… killing… murdering in the many streets of Tokyo… She pursed her lips and wiped her eyes. She stood up and drew a square.
‘Hana…’
Yuri looked up from his hands.
‘Let’s go kill some zombies.’ Himitsu said. She gave him a small smile.
Despite the cruelty that he was expecting to happen on the other side of the window, he couldn’t help smiling back.
