The next morning, Yuri was awoken by a splash of water on his face.
‘Wake up! You want to go kill some zombies or not?!’ Himitsu exclaimed.
‘No, thank you.’
‘They are your family! You want them to rest in peace, or die as ugly, deformed and dried as they are now?’
‘They aren’t my family! My family is out there somewhere! Those zombies aren’t my family!’

Himitsu grabbed his collar.
‘Shut up, ok? Your parents have died. They’re not coming back.’ Himitsu growled.
‘Those aren’t my parents. They aren’t! They’re out there somewhere.’
‘Oh? I’ve been a bounty hunter for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember seeing those humans come back to life!’ Himitsu said, letting go of his collar.
‘That’s coz’ you’d have killed them before you have the chance to study further!’ Yuri argued. He stood up, slightly taller than Himitsu.
‘I don’t even know why am I talking to you.’ Himitsu turned around, zipping her cloak.

She drew another square.
‘Where’s that leading to?’ Yuri asked.
‘Your home. If you don’t come, I’m not coming back for you.’

Yuri stumbled forward, jumping in after Himitsu.

They were in front of Yuri’s once beautiful mansion. Somehow, it looked different now. It looked shadier. Maybe, because they both knew what was going on inside.

Himitsu whispered something to the lock. It opened, and the gate swung open slowly.
‘Go on. It’ll only make you even more scared if you stay longer.’ Himitsu said.

Yuri nodded and walked into the mansion. He looked around the green grass. He took a deep breath.
‘Don’t worry; I’ve got your back.’ Himitsu said. She was right behind him. She raised her palm, revealing a small pocket knife enlarged itself. ‘Have this.’

Yuri picked up the big pocket knife. It looked more like a vegetable knife now.
‘Thanks.’
‘And don’t loose it.’ Himitsu said. Yuri grimaced.

He raised his hand shakily to the doorknob. He turned it and pushed the big door open.

He heard a distinct munching sound. He didn’t want to know what they were eating. The sound stopped as he stepped into the room.

They stared at him. Yuki bared her teeth that were stained with blood, eyes going blood red again.
‘Don’t worry.’ Himitsu said. ‘Just stab. I’ve enchanted the knife. It ought to kill them.’

Yuri nodded.
‘If we get out of this alive, am I allowed to hug you?’ Yuri asked pathetically. Himitsu raised her brow.
‘No.’ She said.

They charged at the zombies. Himitsu casting spells madly, Yuri sticking his knife into anything in his path. The zombie’s skin singed when he stabbed them.
‘They aren’t dying!’ Yuri exclaimed as he kicked on away.
‘The… Heart! Or the lungs!!!!! Stab the heart or lungs!’ Himitsu yelled while tackling a zombie.

Yuri held his knife firmly and stabbed into a zombie’s heart. He twisted the knife in place, making the zombie scream.

Another zombie pulled Yuri away. He yanked the knife out and stabbed it into the other zombie’s head. It screamed as its head sizzled. He let go of Yuri to tend his head. Yuri took the chance and stabbed the knife into its chest.

Himitsu screamed spells and incantations at the zombies wildly. Her cloak was slightly bloody. She kicked a zombie in the stomach. It cringed. She screamed another few words of magic and its head burnt. The fire spread to his chest, burning its heart. Blood spurted out as the zombie screamed.

Himitsu clicked her fingers and a few flower pots enlarged. She picked them up and threw them at the zombies. The zombies turned their heads to look at her. She mumbled something and a sparks flew out from the chandelier, and aimed onto the zombies.

Yuri ducked, covering his head. The spark rain ended, leaving 4 more zombies alive. That was Moriko-zombie, Yuki-zombie, father-zombie and mother-zombie.
‘Obviously, the young one is important. The fat one is holding onto her.’ Himitsu noted to Yuri, who was beside her.
‘Yeah… Who’s the leader?’ Yuri asked. Himitsu studied the four remaining zombies.
‘The baby is the powerful one. But the male one is the leader.’
‘How’s that possible?!’
‘Let’s just try to kill the baby, then the father.’ Himitsu said stubbornly.

Yuri looked at Himitsu through the corner of his eyes. Either she was very brave, or she was concealing her fear very smartly.
‘OK… Let’s do it!’ Himitsu screamed. Yuri ran up front and slashed the mother zombie’s arm. With one flick of an arm, the mother hit Yuri flat on the chest. Soon, he was on the floor, screaming in pain.

Himitsu didn’t spare looking back to see Yuri. She screamed an acid throwing spell at the baby.

The baby cried, and the glass shattered. Seeing Yuri that couldn’t move, Himitsu leaped towards him and used her back to shield him from the glass shards. She stood up and yelled another few spells at the baby.

Yuri tried to stand up, but he was sure his back bone was broken. He picked up his knife and aimed it at the mother zombie’s heart. It hit her perfectly. She screamed, skin started burning.
‘When did that happen?!’ Yuri thought aloud. Himitsu was controlling the knife. ‘Oh.’

Himitsu punched the father zombie. Its head detached itself. She pulled the knife out of the mother zombie’s heart. She stabbed it hard into the father’s chest.

The father zombie yelled in pain. He sank to his knees, trying to pull the knife out, but it was melting. Himitsu was staring hard at it, her gaze burning it.

Suddenly, the Moriko zombie crept up behind her. It grabbed Himitsu by the neck, Yuki zombie extending her green tongue... ...
