Part 13: Okaeri: Not a pretty sight

A peculiar pair of people seem familiar to Himitsu.

Himitsu stared at them long and hard. They resembled Moriko and Yuki. From the back.

Suddenly, the lady turned around. A relieved sigh escaped Himitsu’s lips. Himitsu was still cautious, but they continued walking down the road, away from the lady.

An ear piercing scream. Himitsu whirled around and stared at the lady and the baby. They had shed their skin and their real form was revealed. No prizes for guessing who did they turn into.

The zombies stared right back at them. Yuri bit his lip and gulped. They shot them a bloodthirsty look. The passer-bys were running away from the red, meaty looking monsters, screaming their heads off.

Himitsu put her hand into her jeans pocket. She took out a Swiss knife. She flicked it open and muttered a spell to it.
‘Where did you get that…?’ Yuri asked. She ignored it. She was doing the same trick as before. Multiplying the knife by number.

Yuki-zombie and Moriko-zombie were grinning maliciously at them, as if waiting for Himitsu to do the first move. Yuri felt the same kind of fear he had felt back in the mansion. The street was empty, as everyone had took refuge in shops or alleys.

The zombies kicked away the skin they had shed as Himitsu was still whispering non-stop. The Moriko-zombie gave out a weird, raspy sound that resembled a chuckle.

Yuri stared at Himitsu hesitantly.
‘C’mon, Himitsu… quick…’

And she threw the many Swiss Knives that had fit nicely in the gaps between her fingers. She was throwing them like Throwing-Stars. It caught the zombies by surprise, but they were quick to react nonetheless. Moriko-zombie had set the baby zombie on them. She was crawling swiftly. And she stood up mid-way and started to scream. Yuri closed his palms over his ears. Himitsu stopped throwing the Swiss knives. She drew a hasty green square and they both jumped in.
